Business Visas

Australia’s Business Skills Migration Scheme aims to attract business people with a proven record of business skills and expertise or those with a history of employment at a Senior Management level. To qualify for a business skills visa, you will have to demonstrate experience as a successful senior executive, senior manager, business owner or investor. Lesser eligibility thresholds apply if you seek State Government Sponsorship of your application. The business visas encourage successful business people to settle in Australia and develop new or existing businesses. These are temporary residence visas with a provision to progress to permanent residency upon meeting the necessary requirements.

There are also Business visas available for business people to undertake business in Australia – for example, attend a conference or training session, conduct business negotiations r an exploratory business visit. These visas do not cover you taking paid employment of any type during your visit.

There is also a direct permanent residency category available for high-calibre business migrants sponsored by State / Territory governments. This is known as the Business Talent visa.
